After having searched for other possibilities and not finding a better location the decision was made to rigorously renovate the existing home. The entire ground floor was renovated, and the separate garage was connected to the main building and converted into a guest bedroom and laundry area.

In the main house the laundry room, adjacent to the kitchen, was completely removed creating better circulation and use of space in the dining area. The entrance hall ceiling has been increased and the toilet relocated creating a spacious and lighter entrance. The existing sink was kept for memento purposes. To bring more light into the living room, the existing cabinet was removed and replaced by double glass doors connecting the office area and living room. A new custom made cabinet was made maintaining the style of the original cabinet this time taller to accentuate the ceiling height. A charming covered terrace was added with a fireplace to enjoy the space during cooler moments.
